The Family Home Child Care Association was established in November 1972 to promote higher standards in family home childcare.

The FHCCA has established the following as its primary objectives:
Unity of action of child development home care.
Closer understanding between child development home providers, child development home consumers, the Department of Human Services, and all others interested in community child care.
Share ideas and mutual interest in child development home care with other child development home providers and all others interested in community child care.
To promote high standards in registration requirements for child development home providers.
Promote the enforcement of child development home provider regulations outlined by the Iowa Department of Human Services.
We offer trainings that are approved through the Iowa Department of Human Services. Our trainers are professionals from the community that present educational programs in health, safety, communication, professional development, child behavior, program management and community resources. You must be a registered provider to become a member but, our trainings are available to all working in the child development field.
We meet during the following months: January, February, March, August, September, October at the Central Church of Christ located at 1500 1st Ave NW, 52405. Trainings begin at 6:30pm and last until 8:30pm and are 2 hours in length. Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the training to finalize your enrollment.
Training is free for all CRFHCCA members. Non-members must register through the DHS training portal and mail their $10 payment per training to Child Care Resource and Referral in Davenport Iowa.
CRFHCCA accepts the following forms of payments for membership dues: PayPal, Check or Cash. Non-members payment is only good for the training they have enrolled in. If you cannot attend a scheduled training, payments will not be applied to future trainings.
